Artist Statement

As an artist, I embrace vulnerability and try to share that through my paintings.

I strive to capture the fleeting light and mystic atmospheres that are often small but powerful moments from the past, throughout the seasons and mundane life.

To me, the scenes I paint are charms from nature that evoke stories and often carry old messages.

It is how I always come up with a title that fits not just the scene, but the actual story within. Usually inspired by folk tales, philosophy, memory and imagination.

I often find myself moving through the story, while I paint with the company of film scores in the background.

I want to leave people inspired and with a sense of wonder that will remind them of how vulnerability is as much strength as it is beauty.
And that magic can be found in the small, slow and ordinary.
